News & Updates

Autumn is on our doorstep, and it’s been lovely to feel that much cooler air in the evenings which is slowly cooling down the lakes and giving the fish a bit of relief from the tough, hot summer.  Conditions are improving as we enter September with fish rising, jumping, and rather importantly taking the fly again.  It’s been great to see the catch numbers going up and new members young and old joining. In the past week four children under 13 have landed fish.  I have a feeling the fishery will be a hive of activity this autumn / winter season with those of you who were not able to join us due to covid restrictions finally being able to come back to fish.

Having passed the 1yr old mark it’s been time for our first group of members to renew and we have seen a 100% renewal which is just wonderful news and reinforces things here at Duncton are going in the right direction.  Our membership is currently at 163 and growing slowly but surely.

We are still extending a set amount of day tickets for people to purchase all year round either on site or via our website. The option of year-round day tickets has been very well received and we will be continuing with this as a permanent feature.

We look forward to seeing you at Duncton Mill Fishery

Kindest Regards

Carole
