Duncton Mill Trout Farm (Fintech)

The Hatchery - we operate a large indoor hatchery, which receives oxygenated water directly from the spring. We obtain eggs all year round and therefore have fry available all year. We source most of our eggs from the Isle of Man and the USA. We only purchase triploid eggs, unless all female are especially ordered. Once fry reach 800 lb, they are moved outside to our fry rearing facility. At all times, fry are given low stocking rates to ensure maximum quality. All feeding is by hand to ensure a very tight, even growth across a batch. Prior to pickup or delivery, fry can be vaccinated according to your requirements. All fry are sold certified disease free and are available for sale between 100 lb and 32 lb.

Species available

Farm Specifications - 7 acres, spring fed from the South Downs. Between 3-5 million gallons of water per day. Water temperature - a constant 10 degrees Celsius with a pH of 7

The farm comprises a series of gravity fed ponds of various sizes for on growing.  Ponds are stocked at a low stocking density, to promote strong growth and minimise fin wear.  We operate a policy of lighter weekend feeding to induce fat burn up.  This results in fitter and thus stronger fighting fish.
Transportation
We are centrally located close to major arterial roads, allowing us easy access into Sussex, Kent, Hampshire, Surrey etc.

We can deliver fish to most location, including off-road sites as required.  Customers can arrange to pick up their fish from Duncton Mill Trout Farm directly.  A price discount is available if this option is selected. 

Rates
Our prices are extremely competitive.  Pricing is calculated by live fish weight (lb).  Pricing for stocking is dependent on the quantity of fish ordered, the size and type of fish and the location of the delivery.  Pricing for fry is calculated in terms of a set price per thousand fish.  Please call us to discuss your requirements.
